Sternwheel Festival

Just got the line-up for this week-end's Sternwheel Festival held at Wheeling Heritage Port. It starts on Thursday, Sept. 17 and ends on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Highlights of the entertainment are:

Thursday - Loretta & Elli Garback at 4:30 to 5:00
John Allemond Bluegrass Band 6:00 to 8:00
Phil Dirt and the Dozers 9:00 to 11:00

Friday - Silver Sky 3:00 to 6:00
Dr. Zoot Band 7:00 to 8:30
Platters Tribute Show with Milton Bullock and Mary Tate singing hits by the Divas of Motown 9:30 to 11:00

Saturday - Twice as Nice 12:00 to 2:00
Refugee Band 5:00 to 7:00
The Marcels 8:00 to 10:30 with a break at 9:00 for Zambelli Fireworks

Of course there is a lot of other things to see also. They usually offer a cruise up the river on a sternwheeler boat and there will be lots of sternwheelers to check out along with a car show and a motorcycle show. And don't forget the food and craft vendors.
